Retractable screens that turn a porch or screen room into a space that can be sealed against bugs or opened wide to the breeze.
Traditional screened porches have a trade-off: the screens are fixed, so the view is always filtered through mesh. Retractable screens remove the trade-off. Lowered, they keep out insects and pollen. Raised, they leave a clear, open porch with a full view of the yard.
We fit retractable screens between porch posts, under the porch beam and along the rail line where needed. We work around railings, steps and ceiling fans, and we match the housing color to the trim. If your porch already has fixed screens, we can retrofit retractable ones in the same openings or replace the old screening completely.
Porches often have rails or half walls. We choose between full-height screens that clear the rail or shorter screens that sit above it, depending on the look you want.
Housings mount to the beam or ceiling edge, leaving fans and lights free. We check the swing of doors and the path of any ceiling fixtures.
If old fixed screens are sagging or torn, we remove them cleanly and fit retractable screens in their place, repairing trim as we go.
In cool months you can raise every screen and enjoy a full view. In warm months you can drop them for bug-free evenings.
