New fabric on your existing housing, with the option to change the weave, color or type to better suit how you use the patio.
Fabric wears out before aluminum does. Years of sun, weather and use fade it, stretch it and make it brittle. Replacing it is often far less work than replacing the whole system. The housing, tracks and motor stay where they are, and the screen gets a fresh, tight, clean surface.
Replacement is also a chance to improve the screen. If glare has been a problem, you can switch to a solar weave. If bugs get through, a finer mesh may help. If pets have been rough on the screen, a heavy-duty mesh may last longer. We help you choose, then measure, cut and install the new fabric to fit your existing system. Before ordering fabric, we check the roller, the bottom bar and the tracks for wear, because new fabric on tired hardware will not last. If those parts need attention, we replace them at the same time and test the whole assembly. That way the refreshed screen looks new and works new, not just the part you can see.
Fading, fraying edges, stretching, stiffness and repeated tears are signs the fabric is near the end of its life.
You can keep the same fabric or change the weave, color or type. Upgrades are common after living with the first fabric for a while.
Fabric is cut to the exact size, attached to the roller and bottom bar and tensioned to hang flat.
In most cases the housing, tracks and motor are reused, which keeps cost down.
